2020 has been a whirlwind, what does Christmas mean to you this year?

More than ever Christmas 2020 is all about family! 2020 has kept me close and connected to my loved ones and I look forward to having some downtime with them.

Any habits you practice to help you get into ‘Holiday Mode’?

The lead up to the break is always a frantic rush, juggling tying up the year at work and getting the home ready for the festive season. I find I only really get to start to decompress after Christmas, I love those lazy days between Christmas and New Year when there is absolutely nothing to do but lie around and read a book.

Any rituals of timeless value to you during the festive break? Something you practiced in your childhood and have passed onto Lucien?

After a few days of quiet, I always find myself writing in my journal, dreaming up big plans for the future, especially for the year ahead.

A favourite spot of yours you love to visit during this time of the year?

I spend the Summer at Mackerel Beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. It is an offshore community with no cars and no shops. The pace is slow and it is the perfect place to spend lazy summer days.

A signature dish you love to dedicate time to?

Tiramisu. I normally find myself making it a few times over the Summer break when friends come to visit.

Any books waiting to be picked up over the holiday break?
